2018 Spring Showcase: New Moves

Join the dancers of Berkeley Ballet Theater for our “New Moves” program, featuring three original works by esteemed choreographers Laura O’Malley, Keon Saghari, and Vanessa Thiessen, in collaboration with a trio of composers commissioned by the Berkeley Symphony.

Also on the program is the reprise of Dani Rowe’s celebrated “O,” which premiered on BBT last spring, and founding Artistic Director’s beloved pas de deux “Chopin for Two.”

The concert will conclude with “Rhapsody,” a new work for the entire BBT Youth Division (Levels 1-8 and Youth Company) choreographed by Artistic Director Robert Dekkers. Set to Rachmaninov’s ‘Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini,’ this new ballet will highlight the technical growth and artistic expression of the BBT dancers.
