"My Spidey Sense Was A-Tingling"
As part of the 40th Anniversary Heritage Photos series, Savanah shared her gratitude for the teachers at BBT and her experience training.
It didn't take long to find a dance home and community at BBT. I had recently moved to the Bay from Sacramento after taking 6 months’ worth of intro classes at a small studio in Rancho Cordova. After a few intro to ballet classes at BBT with Mr. Greer and despite little context or experience, my spidey sense was a-tingling and I knew I had found a high-caliber studio to seriously begin my ballet training.
Over the past five years at BBT, I have made lifelong friends, laughed, cried, shattered personal boundaries, and as many others have, found an outlet to express myself creatively as an artist. I am so thankful to BBT's roster of incredible teachers who care and invest in their adult ballet student's development as dancers (and often as people.) BBT is the best studio on the West Coast and rivals New York's Steps and Broadway Dance Center in terms of adult student ballet training. I'm forever grateful to Ms. Sally for laying the foundation for both phenomenal dance programming and making ballet accessible to all who have the desire to express their souls, move, create!
