Re:generate
Re:generate: Professional dancer workshop, Summer 2025
Refine your skills, revitalize your imagination, and renew your passion for movement with the next generation of choreographers at a new week-long intensive, Monday, July 7– Friday, July 11 at the Berkeley Ballet studios. Designed to connect professional dancers with choreographers to collectively explore “what’s next” in the field of dance, Re:generate will be led by five Bay Area-based choreographers: Babatunji, Robin Dekkers, Colin Frederick, Ja'Moon Jones, and Moscelyne ParkeHarrison.
Participants will spend one full day with each choreographer over the week — taking class, learning rep, and generating movement together in a positive, supportive space. Re:generate is a process-based intensive that does not include a culminating performance presentation. Instead, the intention of this program is to cultivate radical imagination, authentic connection, and deep curiosity.
Dancers aged 18+ with post-secondary dance education and/or professional dance experience are invited to apply. Please send a link to a two minute dance reel, head shot, and CV/resume to moscelyneph@berkeleyballet.org by Tuesday, July 1, 2025 to be considered for this intensive; dancers will be invited on a rolling basis, and please feel welcome to contact us with additional questions.
Tuition: $500 (Tuition due within two weeks after a dancer’s acceptance)
